Nhà thờ chính tòa Đức Bà Chartres

Long time no see! I've been incredibly busy with school. Yup, even this summer as I was attending Harvard Summer School, which was a great experience.

Anyway, won't go into details about that. So here is today's look. I went for a cute yet sophisticated look. The necklace is like a ribbon in the shape of a cross, which I find original and it goes with today's location (a church).

C'est un jardin extraordinaire

Giverny is famous thanks to Monet, who happens to be my favorite impressionist. Now, I admit that my outfit is not very colorful for such a beautiful garden, but when I created this outfit, the weather in Giverny was cold  and gray. The coat and umbrella do add some light to the outfit.

Tóg go bog é

A chic outdoorsy look for a hotel people go to to do outdoor activities. This look could be fit for some outdoor activities, but I created it with the idea of relaxing at the lodge stylishly.

Maide

Not an outfit you can use to play golf, but that's what the location inspired me to create. And no, there isn't anything related to the olympics this time. The green flats are a win to Ireland.

你饿吗?

Kinsale is said to be Ireland's culinary capital. I didn't create this look base on that info though, as I just read it. The picture at the top, with the water, led me to pick the dress. I then picked everything else based on that dress. And yes, I did chose the necklace because of the name of this blog, "cinq" meaning "five" in french.

Oh, and happy Canada Day to all Canadians!

Uaisle

Ireland! As you can see, I decided to go for a color traditionally associated with Ireland: green. I have never been to Dromoland castle, "home to one of the few native Gaelic families of royal blood" (Schultz, 1000 Places to See Before You Die, p.66), but I have been to the Cliffs of Moher which are a 30-minute drive from the castle, now a hotel. The cliffs are quite impressive and also  a bit scary when you have a fear of heights when you lean over the edge, thing you can't do anymore since they places a fence to prevent people from going near the edge. At least, that's what I read. When I was there, there was only a low brick wall that a 5 years old could have climbed over, hence how I (and many others... if not everyone) was able to get near the edge. I have to admit I didn't really looked over the edge as I was keeping my back against the rocky "wall" and trying not to look down.

Anyway, about this outfit. Because of the location's past, I decided to go with a sophisticated look.
